SERA AND FRESH SOUL Thanksgiving 100 Meals & More Give Away
This year our Thanksgiving 100 Meals and More give away was a big success! We were able to give 100 people a soul food meal, $100 cash, and some warm winter wear. Once the 100 meals were given out, We gave another 75 people $100 cash and warm winter wear. Then we continued to give another 100 people $100 cash. It was a blessing for us to be able to bless 275 people this year on Thanksgiving. So many said how much it helped them and their families. While we fell short of our goal of 500 people, we are confident that next year we will be able to reach that goal.
Thank you to Mayor Nadine Woodward for taking time away from her family on Thanksgiving to help us hand out food and more. And thank you to all our volunteers who helped set up, coordinate, and handout everything. We couldn’t have done it without you. 2022 Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway with a Surprise
We had some great helpers for our annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway. Several families came down to Fresh Soul the morning of Thanksgiving to help Mr. Brown hand out 100 meals to those in need on November 24th. Each meal contained a surprise envelope with $100 cash and a $20 gift card to Lowe’s. People were so grateful and it was a wonderful way to spend the morning sharing our blessings with others. Thanks so much to our donors who made this possible: Mr. Brown, DeAndre Cody-Brown, Guy and Nancy, Zane Denison and the Spokane/ Coeur d’Alene Lowe’s, and the Car Wash Plaza on Thor.

Mission continued... Spokane Eastside Reunion Association is a collaborative effort that strives to restore and promote a revitalized sense of community in our city’s neighborhoods. Its organizers are grounded by their devote sense of faith and seek to further advance God’s mission in both word and in deed. Together we recognize the despair that riddles so many of our world’s people, most specifically those who are marginalized, and thus it is together that we join hands and labor for change. It is our hope that through our authentic optimism and sincere sense of purpose, we will be successful in inspiring our people in believing that there is always something worth celebrating.

Summer Youth Basketball Camp
Our Basketball Camp serves disadvantaged youth ages 5 to 15 from all over Spokane. In 2021 the camp served 105 participants. Its primary objective is to inspire kids to live healthy and active lives and build resilience to ensure their success.
Fresh Soul
Fresh Soul is a life skills and job training program that serves youth ages 14-18. Our program runs for 12 weeks and covers topics such as kitchen training, kitchen etiquette, food handling skills, service, having a bank account and budgeting, resume building, job search, interview skills, mentoring, and pride in and giving service to our community.
